The vast majority of my earliest memories involve art, from painting by the river to scraping chalk all over the path in the garden. I’m not sure, specifically, where my love for wildlife and patterns comes from. However, my mum enjoys telling the tale of me charging into the room shouting “look mum, I made a zebra” followed by the bumbling family Labrador who had been covered in stripes of white emulsion. (He was a coconspirator I swear, besides, he later got his own back by eating all of my crayons and pooping rainbows for days.)
I spent a few years enduring a lack of inspiration, a complete creative block, but after leaving an abusive environment I rediscovered my love of art, I wanted to fill my life with colour. That is when I started focusing on creating patterns inspired by the beauty found in the natural world; Mother Nature is the greatest artist there ever was. I love creating these patterns before incorporating them into my other pieces. I’m heavily influenced by the Art Nouveau movement, the textiles of William Morris and the elegance of the Art Deco Movement.
Since meeting my now wife I’ve been more inspired than ever, she truly is my muse and our home in the countryside with the cats and dogs is a beautiful place to create.
I hope that you enjoy my pieces as much as I adore making them, if you have any requests for products not listed please get in touch. My commission spaces are limited but I love new challenges and
